Disclaimer: For the visual learners that seem to not get how to apply, this is a sample application showing the types of response we expect in applications. Applications do not need to be exactly this length. It can be shorter or longer, however first impressions are always important. If you want us to take your application seriously, please take the time to thoroughly outline (IN DECENT ENGLISH no QWERTY shorthand jive) yourself and why you would be a good fit within the ranks of SP.

Character (Name, Level, Race, and Class/Spec)
(All raiding applicants must be level 80. Please provide an armory link.)
Rickells- Level 80 Orc Shaman
WoW Armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Mal%27Ganis&n=Rickells
Main Spec- Elemental (57/14/0)
Off Spec- Restoration (0/16/55)

Alternative characters
(Let us know what other classes you have experience with, and characters we can contact you on.)
Tiranth- 80 Bloodelf Paladin (Prot 0/53/18)
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Mal%27Ganis&n=Tiranth

You can contact me most of the time on Rickells. However, I do play Tiranth to keep up with current gear trends.

Professions
(What professions have you trained, and how do you plan to utilize them for raiding?)
450 Jewelcrafting- Picked JC as 1. Prismatics give me a decent boost to spellpower, and the money provided by cutting gems/selling on AH gives me a constant influx of money to supplement raiding costs. 2. Provide a service to my other guildmates in cutting gems.
450 Alchemy- Ditched gathering skills to pick up alchemy. The added bonus of mixology gives me another boost of spellpower to flasks. Also allows me stretch out the use of flasks, thus cutting my costs for not having a gathering profession. Transmuting my own gems is also a plus.

Gear choice
(Please explain how you make choices on gear to pursue, stats you prioritize, and any mods, programs, or websites you utilize for gear selection.)
I use a number of methods to choose exactly what gear is best for my spec/class. In addition to the Theorycrafting on EJ, I also utilize RAWR, and personal testing to make my upgrade choices. Normally i pursue gear heavy on Spellpower and Haste, as I am already hit capped and have options for situations that include/don't include an SPriest or Boomkin. As an elemental shaman i value heavily haste in my setup. While no cap, getting my LB's casts as quick as possible is going to pump my dps more. I do not shy away from wearing other types of gear outside of mail if they benefit my dps contribution to the raid and will fearlessly bid on cloth/leather/2 handed weapons, etc. I ascribe to the tanking shaman method as well, so i will be bidding on any rings/necks/trinkets that will boost my defense. With regard to raiding setup, I utilize RECOUNT to gauge my dps and make adjustments on the fly, OMEN, and GRID to optimize raid harmony, and QUARTZ, LEATRIX LATENCY FIX to reduce lag between casts, which is crucial to elemental shaman and casters alike.

Wow and Raiding Experience
(Please be thorough - this includes how long you have played the game, what raid content you have experienced, and what kind of raiding schedules you have maintained.)
Vanilla- I experienced only parts of Zul'Gurub and was not raiding at the time.
TBC- Towards the beginning of TBC I was not raiding. Shifting to a consistent raiding role upon the release of Black Temple, I have cleared TK/SSC/Gruul/Hyjal/BT/and up to Felmyst in SWP. I raided 4 days a week, 7-12 server.
WOTLK- I have experienced all content including: 10/25 NAX (10 Undying), 10/25 EOE, 10/25 SARTH (3 Drake on 25Man), 10/25 Ulduar (all 10man HM's including Algalon, mixed 25 HM's), 10/25 TOC, 10 TOGC 5/5 (Multiple Insanity Completions), 25 TOGC 3/5. My raid schedule was the same, although work forced me to miss a night here and there, as well as three children which I will detail further below.

Past Guilds
(Let us know what other guilds you have raided in, and any special role you had. Please explain your decisions to leave each of these.)
Vanilla WoW- I came into the game as a NE Rogue on Bleeding Hollow and was unguilded. After an extended break as I was not into raiding, I came back with some friends and rerolled Rickells right around the time An'Quiraj was released. I was invited to the guild <VOID> as a casual due to friends in that guild and was not involved with raiding at the time due to me leveling to 60. After my friends in that guild left the game, I chose to leave and joined a piddly guild in <Nocturn>, which carried through to part of TBC.
TBC- I left <Nocturn> as it was pretty much dead, to become a part of <Impulse>, who had some RL friends of mine in it who had come back to the game. It was in this guild I decided to pick raiding up. We began to do attempts at Karazhan, but the guild ended up falling apart and merging with <Sanguine Prophecy> pretty early in TBC. In <SP> I was part of a second Kara team, and eventually was involved in SSC/Gruul/TK. Upon the release of Hyjal, I took up a fulltime raiding schedule, carrying through full clear of Black Temple, and up to Felmyst in SWP.
WOTLK- I continued on with <Sanguine Prophecy>, and have become an officer in that guild.

Why do you wish to join Sanguine Prophecy?
(Please explain how you found out about SP, what about SP has motivated you to apply, and what you hope to accomplish as a part of this guild.)
I wish to join Sanguine Prophecy to be part of an established community of players who see end-game content together, and enjoy the social aspect of the game while doing it. I'm in it for the long haul, and if recruited, I can be counted on to be a valued member of this guild for a long time. I am not a guild hopper, nor a quitter.

What raid times are you able to commit to?
(The 25-man schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7-11 server time. 10-mans are optional and will be scheduled outside of this time.
I am able to commit to all raid times if able. I do have a hectic work schedule, but know well in advance of when i will be absent, and will make the guild aware as soon as i know that I will be missing an raid evening.

Connection and Ventrilo
(What type of internet connection do you play on, and how reliable is it? Also, all raiders must be able to listen and speak on Ventrillo.)
I have a great connection through Charter Broadband cable. I also have Ventrilo, a mic, but pick and chose when to speak. I do not subscribe to the camp of drowing vent in my voice. I am not afraid of speaking and will when required. In addendum, I will converse outside of raid time in ventrilo socially as well.

Do you know any members of Sanguine Prophecy?
I know many of them through playing in the game and grouping with individuals over the years. If i had to chose one person who i try to emulate every day from SP, Shinraeq has inspired me personally to join the elite ranks of your guild. His individual excellence and biceps spur me on to greater things.

Additional Information
(Give us a brief idea of who you are outside the game, and what you like to do. Any other comments you'd like to add beyond the outline are welcome here as well.)
My name is Ted Hosmer and I live in Fairview Heights, Illinois, a suburb of the St. Louis Metro area. I work for the Scottrade Center, where the St. Louis Blues hockey club play, and am a confidant of every player on the team. I also am a father of 3 and am usually considered by the regular WoW player to be "old". I enjoy long walks on the beach, spooning with my wife, sports and participation in them, and am an avid fantasy football champion. I also am an exclusive PC gamer and enjoy a wide range of games outside of WoW.

Times we can contact you ingame
(If the officers decide to consider your application, the next step will be to discuss any questions we have in-game. Let us know the best times to find you online.)
I can be found online anytime after 6:30pm. Feel free to contact me via email as well or PMing me on the forums.
